Our Confession of Faith (1689)
Rooted in the Gospel, Living by Grace, Exalting Christ

What We Confess

  1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, the final authority for faith and life.

  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe that all people are created in God’s image but are fallen in sin and in need of salvation.

  4. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

  5. We believe that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, died on the cross as our substitute and rose again for our justification.

  6. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives new life, convicts of sin, and empowers believers for godly living.

  7. We believe that the local church is a covenant community of baptized believers, gathered for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.

  8. We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Christ, to be practiced faithfully until He returns.

  9. We believe that every believer is called to grow in holiness and to proclaim the gospel to all nations.

  10. We believe in the blessed hope of Christ’s return, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal life with God for His people.
